I just noticed this problem today, in 2024. ZCS 8.8.15 network. Lots of users have this warning. Aside from the warnings in the log file, the issue does not seem to be visible to end users, as the invalid contact group members simply are not displayed. But today for the first time i got a complaint from someone using the mobile interface (rare for us) and trying to print their contacts (also rare), and it showed the bad member, simply displaying their id #, much to the user's confusion.
i could not find any way to remove the bad member, using normal zimbra methods, and did not feel like deleting and re-creating the group. so i did this:
1. create new bogus contact in that account, say TEST123
2. go into mysql for that mailbox and update the id for the TEST123 contact to be the id for the missing contact.
3. in the web interface, edit the contact group to remove the TEST123 member
4. delete the TEST123 contact
Obviously, don't do this if you aren't very comfortable with manually tweaking the mysql db.
But of course now i see dozens/hundreds of warnings in the logs for this issue. So i guess i will have to find a way to automate a fix.
